For those of you who might be excited to know, I have purchased a diaper bag! A few people have asked to see it, so here it is. It is very fun and happy!!
Hello! And Happy almost Fourth of July form the Nation's Capitol!! This year we will forgo the celebration on the mall for something a little more low-key and easy to get home from. (traffic is a nightmare after the fireworks on the mall) WE plan to eat brunch and visit with our super friends jill and Brian, and their new addition Dublin the dog. Very exciting! Piney has a playdate! This past week-end was very busy and really great! I flew to Asheville to kick off a freelance job for a new exhibit in the house! That is very exciting. Then, I got to see a few of my friends and my parents, and flew out Saturday afternoon. I have to say the flights were a bit nightmarish. First, the connector from Charlotte to Asheville on FRiday morning was unpressurized due to a malfunction, so I thoroughly ticked all the passengers on the flight off by holding the plane on the tarmak whilst the pilots called a obgyn to see if it was safe for me to attempt. It was a bit surreal to stand in a n airplane cockpit and answer personal medical questions to the pilot (on the phone with before mentioned doc) such as "have you had any leakage or cramps?". Ok! New things happen everyday! And the flight home was your typical mess of missed planes and delayed flights. Oh, well! I am safely home, and happy to have gone to Asheville nonetheless!
Justin, meanwhile, painted the nursery!!! It looks SOOO good. He is such a pro. WE painted it two tones of yellow in stripes. I will post a picture here as soon as we have the furniture in, which we plan on doing tomorrow afternoon! It is coming together! The image at the top is the color palette in the room. It may look a little different, depending on your screen, but you get the idea!
I think God is answering our prayers about our decision on whether or not I should return to work. I have gotten several calls the last few weeks about freelance work, I am turning people down, beacuse I just don't have time. But, I think this is a strong sign that a small home business for me is something that is not only feasible, but could be really great! I have time, to decide but, I do feel empowered. I am so blessed to know many wonderful people with which I have worked and that think of me. Thanks to all your prayers!
Look out for a few new photos in the next couple of days! I plan to upload the nursery, and maybe a picture of pregnant me, for all of you who would like to see me with a basketball around my waist.
Love to everyone!
